Honda CB200

Alex’s Honda CB200

What started out as a simple service safety check turned out to be one killer, unique, all class Honda CB200.

Alex’s Honda started out as a baby blue bike with black lace overlay on the tank, a stock black seat and a tad beaten up. Alex had a colour in mind which he sent to me in a photo and we worked together on the style of tyres and seat colour before starting the build.

The bike was completely stripped and the engine block was painted, the side covers ceramic coated black and the points ignition covers painted in a custom tan colour. The tank was stripped back to bare metal and painted also in the custom tan colour. The wheels where stripped down and blasted and powder coated in a satin black. New Shinko tyres were fitted and the wheels reassembled and fitted to the bike. The seat was upholstered in a warn look brown vinyl and grips were chosen to match. The bike was then fully assembled.

The front and rear fender needed work as they has previous dents in them so on to the English wheel they went to be straightened out before being sand blasted and powder coated. A new battery was fitted along with a new headlight and tail light and all rewired as they were now LED and running at a lower voltage. After being wired up the bike was ready for its test ride and its safety checks before being picked up by Alex.
